Made with 60% figs, this jam captures the velvety texture and sweetness of ripe fruit, subtly enhanced with a touch of lemon juice. Its rich texture, dotted with tiny seeds, brings forth the taste of perfectly ripe figs, cooked with patience.
Spread on buttered toast, a rusk, or one of our own pure butter shortbreads, it adds a delightful flavour to breakfast and also pairs wonderfully with a cheese board. Preserved in France, in Lot-et-Garonne, it carries on the tradition of homemade jams, a taste dear to La Mère Poulard.
